Musique et délices
You will find here a list of compositions by Danielle Fournier, most of them for piano and some for Celtic harp - each with a description, a score extract and its approximate duration. Some of these pieces are regrouped into albums, but most of them are available as individual scores
at the
Coopérative Vincent-d'Indy (Montréal).
The favorite of many, it seems. Expressing a simple and joyful tenderness, this piece was recorded in 2007 by the pianist Michel Fournier (his album "17:05").

CHANSON POUR JIMMY
Pianist: Michel Fournier
Recorded in Montréal in February 2007
CD "1705" MYR PRODUCTIONS
Score: "La Grande Portée"
This piece is especially intended for the staunch supporters of the Montreal CH, since I wrote it and presented it during a national competition to find a new musical theme for Hockey Night in Canada! I dedicate it to all fervent fans of the Montreal CH as well as to their valiant heroes on blade skates.

Intrata: The modal opening, with dissonant harmonies, is reminiscent of a wind ensemble.
Choral: A continuous song whose ample and loose melodic line is supported by seductive, although discreet, harmonies.
Danse de cour: It's a day of celebration and everyone is invited: peasants, noble ladies and young ladies, with their energetic dances and graceful steps. Even the little “doggie” becomes an acrobat for the occasion..

A symbol of triumph since antiquity, the laurel was the sacred tree of Apollo, and the one whose leaves adorned the foreheads of the victors at the Olympus games. The tree is still called today “Apollo laurel”, or “noble laurel”.
Here's a piece to celebrate all victories!
